Hollee Saville

for School Board

My name is Hollee Saville and I am running for re-election to the St. Michael-Albertville Schools Board.

My husband, Jonathan, and I have been blessed to live in St. Michael for the past 16 years. Our two boys (entering 9th and 6th grades) have loved being students in the district since their kindergarten years and I have enjoyed volunteering in our schools. We love our schools and community and I have always loved working with and advocating for children.

During the last 3 ½ years that I have served on the school board, I have:
•   always made students my first priority.
• balanced the interests of students, staff, families, and taxpayers with fiscal responsibility.
•  supported the implementation of two of my priorities: more recess time and fewer standardized tests.
•   advocated for equitable funding for STMA and more local control.
•  considered every issue thoughtfully and fairly, listening to all stakeholders and the information presented.
•   encouraged transparency and engagement, including the recording of board meetings.
•   served on the District Advisory Committee, Policy Review Committee, Legislative Action Committee, Hall of Fame Selection Committee, Activities Review Board, several negotiations committees, and attended many PTO meetings for the schools in our district.
•   attended and participated in numerous events in our schools.
•   participated in school board conferences and trainings to improve my knowledge and ability to serve our district.
•  helped coordinate the “Positivity Project,” adding positive messages in three of our schools.
•  formed School Supplies for STMA (2016) and co-founded Project Pencils (2018) to provide school supplies for more than 1,000 students in need, thus far.

If re-elected, I will continue to work hard for our students, staff, families, and the STMA community.

If you have any questions or would like a lawn sign to show your support, please contact me at info@Saville4STMA.com.

I would be honored to serve another term and humbly ask for your support and vote on November 3.

Instilling a love for learning is imperative. Children become lifelong learners by teaching them how to think instead of what to think.
